I cycled to York from Harrogate for the first time the other day, just for the sake of a break and a change of scenery. Whilst I was visiting, I stopped to look at a couple of design books in one of the local book shops, and I came across this little leaflet.
It's a tiny, but beautifully made guide to book fairs and book collecting by the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA). The imagery was created by painter, illustrator and print-maker Mark Hearld, who I've been told is a tutor at York College (his birthtown) after studying in Glasgow and the RCA. A great deal of his work is influenced by animals and nature, and I love his refreshing use of mixed media.
