Although the blog has been pretty quiet, things have been quite busy over the past month or so. A lot of my time was taken up by the preparation and set up for the recent Blisters: The Directors Cut show, held at MC Motors on 31st August and 1st September. Hundreds of pieces of film related artwork were submitted to Print Club London in the run up for the show, but just 40 artists made the cut. I'm happy to say that I had the opportunity to assist with the printing of 4 editions of these beautiful pieces, alongside the artists themselves.
This blog post is dedicated to the print session I did with Giuseppe Fasano, the designer behind "Pretend to be Normal", inspired by Little Miss Sunshine. I met Giuseppe at one of our Thursday workshops a couple of months ago, so I was thrilled when he asked me to help with his Blisters piece. Keep an eye out for him, I believe he is planning an exhibition in the Dalston/Islington area in the near future, so definitely one for those who love hand rendered type and clear, crisp communication. Will keep you posted!
Giuseppe's print is still available at the Print Club website, but possibly not for long.
