Posters for Whirlygig Cinema

Whirlygig Cinema is a busy short film and music project set up by founders Katie Steed & Steve Brandwood. Ever since their first screening in June 2010, the pair have been collaborating with film makers, poets, musicians and visual artists to showcase new and emerging cinematic talent. The project has boosted performances all around London (and even one at Wychwood festival), and has also produced an affiliated evening called Making Tracks, featuring the amazing Cabinet of Living Cinema.

I was asked by Katie to produce a few posters for a couple of upcoming events this month:

Making Tracks at Rich Mix on 21st October 2011
&
Contains Mild Peril (Whirlygig Halloween Special) at St Margarets House Settlement, Old Ford Road on October 30th

ITCH Magazine Issue 9- "Infinity Wave"

Itch Magazine is an international periodical of contemporary literature and art, based in Cape Town, South Africa. The publication also acts as an interactive space for writers, poets and artists to contribute ideas and concepts for a predetermined theme (in this case, "Infinity" was chosen for Issue 9).

I'm happy to say that I was included in the most recent issue, featuring my contribution "Infinity Wave". Feel free to see my work here.

"Space and the universe as a whole is the only subject that I can consider as infinite, at least until human technology allows us to gain a better understanding of what is beyond our world."

A Visual Feast in Bath!

Yellow Bear Workshop were invited back to Milsom Place, Bath to set up a special exhibition for this year's Food and Drink Festival. A "Visual Feast" was a series of work (screen prints, paintings, textiles and jewellery) influenced by the theme of food in all its forms. I exhibited a piece about the South West tradition of Apple Scrumping, collecting apples from trees- legally or otherwise!
