The year is 2010...

My hometown of Harrogate is still covered in snow and ice, and a another very heavy fall is expected tonight. I'm currently piecing my portfolio together for an AOI advice session with Fig Taylor, and I drew this whilst waiting for my work to print.

Congratulations Tim and Katherine!

One of my best friends got married this weekend, and I was an usher for their service at St Marks Church, Harrogate (September 19th 2009). This is an illustration of the church that was later used in a hand-drawn card for the happy couple.

CV in progress

Haven't posted for a little while, I've been busy making a feasible CV/sampler to send round a few companies in my local area. A bit tricky right now, suddenly realising how much easier and cheaper it was to print and bind these things back in Uni (my printer is a cheap HP inkjet, and the prints look terrible). Little jobs become twice the size and the cost!

Oh well. just keep going. Here's a slightly shoddy photo:

Relocation to Harrogate & Father's Day

Busy week. Just moved to Harrogate, N. Yorkshire after finishing my course in Bath, so lots of packing, travelling and settling in. It was father's day last week end, so I made him a little card, and found an excuse to try using some colouring pencils again (not a comfortable medium for me, but good for recording and capturing with quick sketches).

The theme is nuts, from all over the world (he loves nuts, always talks about how good they are for you). Lovely shapes, but difficult textures to capture.
