Back Once Again...

Hello all, welcome to my old blog. It is a temporary solution to an odd Wordpress problem that has arisen on www.simonfitzmaurice.com/blog. I hope to get it going again ASAP.

Been keeping busy recently, mixing editorial illustrations with screen printing projects. I'll stick up the screen prints as soon as I get some decent photos!

Here are some images take from a recent illustration project for Elwin Publishing, and their new title "Hand-made Home". These are a series of diagrams and illustrations for craft and D.I.Y projects around the home.

Congratulations Tim and Katherine!

One of my best friends got married this weekend, and I was an usher for their service at St Marks Church, Harrogate (September 19th 2009). This is an illustration of the church that was later used in a hand-drawn card for the happy couple.

Website Coming V Soon: Quick Update and Proof!

www.simonfitzmaurice.com has had a little floating placeholder for quite a while now, so I'm actively learning dreamweaver as we speak (found a book in a charity shop for just 50p!).
Here is a shot of my homepage. All the type is from my own hand, scanned from sketchbooks then arranged in Illustrator:
Some of the main decisions are being made right now. All the links and functions are working, I just need to edit my content and decide on my general presentation. Experimented with side-scrolling pages rather than vertical scrolling, but some of the images just don't work that way (portrait camera shots that can't be cut down).
